My helicopter management company Luviair sponsors classic motorbike rider Allan Brew.
Here is his report from the 2014 Isle of Man Classic 500 TT.
“1.5 hour delay to the start to allow the roads to dry after earlier showers and by the time the race started the conditions were good. My plan was to just a have a steady ride as I haven’t been particularly quick in practice, lapping quite a bit slower than expected. On the first lap I thought I could catch Mark Parret but he started to pull away and that was the last I saw of any other riders until I was passed by no 30, Peter Boast. That ‘woke me up’ and we swapped places for most of the last lap. Mark finished 5th, so I should have tried harder to stay with him, Peter Boast 10th and I finished 12th! Really pleased with the result which I know was helped by most of the front runners dropping out … but that’s racing!”
